Bay Windows

Enjoy floods of natural light and panoramic views by installing or updating bay windows in your home. Bay windows are formed of three or more individual windows connected in an arc which creates space and offers a beautiful panoramic view. Adding a projection to the outer wall, bay windows allow for a cosy, light-filled space to sit and relax in.

This broad selection means we can help you find the right option for your home, whether you are looking for contemporary design, traditional character, low maintenance or excellent value.

Full Of Character

Bay windows add a beautiful, character filled feature point to the home, as well as allowing in light and creating a feeling of spaciousness. Whether you prefer traditional or modern, Bay Windows are versatile and adaptable enough to fit well into any property – from historic houses to new builds.

Enhanced Ventilation

As Bay and Bow windows extend outward from your house, they offer enhanced ventilation as air is able to move in and out of your home at multiple angles.

Add Value

Bay Windows may also add value to your property – not only do they enhance the aesthetics of a building but they also create additional space and light.

Made To Measure

Our team will create the right window for your project, according to your preferences and needs. We’ll assess the project, then create and fit the perfect Bay or Bow window for your space.

Energy & Money Saving

Replacing your old single glazed windows with our A rated double and triple glazing could save you money on your energy bills each year. You’ll be letting light in and simultaneously keeping cold and noise out. All our windows also offer a high level of security, so you don’t have to compromise on style to feel safe and relaxed.

Bay & Bow Windows

What is the difference between bay and bow windows? Traditional bay windows (often found in Victorian and Georgian homes) actually extend the footprint of the room, so that the window space is projected outwards. This can be furnished with a window seat which makes for a sunny reading nook, or can simply add extra space to the room. Typically, bay windows consist of three glass panels, with one central picture window, and two smaller units on either side which open to allow ventilation.

Bow Windows on the other hand are usually made up of at least four or five identical windows which curve round to create an arced bow shape. This means Bow Windows offer a larger internal window ledge area, rather than extending the floor space like a bay. Bow Windows might be the right option for you if you are looking to allow the maximum amount of sunlight into your home. They also work perfectly wrapped around the corner of a building, where their curved appearance offers panoramic views.

Types of Bay Windows

At TP Improvements, we offer a range of Bay and Bow Windows to suit your style, project, and budget. Popular options include Square (Box Bay) and rounded Bow Windows, all made to measure in timber, uPVC, or aluminium.

Sliding Sash Bay or Casement Bay Windows

Depending on your personal preference and the style of the house, we offer sliding sash bay or casement bay windows that you can choose to configure in the styles discussed below. Chat to a member of our team to discover which would work best for you.

Square Bay Windows – A box-like shape with one large central window and two smaller side windows at 90 degrees.

Semi-Hexagonal Bay Window – Three equally sized windows forming half a hexagon for a softer, elegant look.

Semi-Octagonal Bay Windows – Four windows forming half an octagon, adding character and maximising light.

Triangular Bay Windows – Two windows meeting at a single point, perfect for corners or adding unique charm.

Circle Bay Windows – A curved design with windows separated by wall panels, popular in Gothic-era homes.

Oriel Bay Windows – Elevated bays, often supported by brackets, ideal for Tudor-style homes or upper stories.

uPVC Timber Alternative Bay Windows

uPVC (Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride) is a durable, low-maintenance material that is well suited to double and triple-glazed windows. With low thermal conductivity, it offers excellent insulation, helping to keep heat in, cold air out and outside noise to a minimum, while also providing a high level of security. As a cost-effective alternative to timber or aluminium, uPVC is a popular choice for homeowners looking to balance performance, style and value.

Available in a wide range of colours, finishes and timber-effect options, uPVC Bay Windows can be tailored to suit both traditional and contemporary homes. Whether you are looking for a classic appearance or something more modern, there are plenty of design options to help you achieve the right look for your property. Browse our gallery for uPVC Bay Window inspiration and discover a style that complements your home beautifully.

Our uPVC Bay Windows are available in the Residence Collection ranges R7, R9 and R2, as well as Roseview’s Ultimate, Charisma and Heritage window ranges for those seeking a grained timber-look finish or elegant sliding sash styling.

Aluminium Bay Windows

Aluminium is a strong, durable and low-maintenance material, making it an excellent choice for modern Bay and Bow Windows. Its slim yet robust frames allow for larger areas of glazing, creating a bright, open feel and a clean, contemporary appearance. This makes aluminium particularly well suited to homeowners who want to maximise natural light while keeping sightlines as sleek and minimal as possible.

As a material, aluminium is built to last and is highly resistant to the elements. It will not rust, rot, peel, flake or warp, making it a practical long-term option for busy households. It also offers excellent structural strength, which is especially beneficial for larger bay window configurations where both performance and aesthetics are important.

Our aluminium Bay Windows are available in Origin’s OW-70 Slimline and OW-80 Premium ranges, offering high-quality solutions for a variety of property styles. We also offer aluminium bay window options in the ALUK 58BW tilt-before-turn system, which combines elegant design with practical ventilation and ease of use. With a wide choice of colours, finishes and glazing options available, aluminium Bay Windows can be tailored to complement both contemporary homes and more traditional properties looking for a refined modern update.
